Life Essentials Workshops
The poet Mary Oliver penned this provocative question: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Utilizing the wisdom of depth psychology, Dr. Kunst offers Life Essentials Workshops as an opportunity to explore this very question together. Her approach will resonate with those seeking a more nuanced, complex view of life—one that is both sober and hopeful, and has substance on emotional and intellectual levels. It will appeal to those experiencing a life transition, needing help in planning next steps. It will also speak to those looking for an opportunity to dive deeper, to enter into a space of reflection so rare in our face-paced society.
We will explore three essential practices of a deeper, more meaningful life:
- Embracing reality: the practice of wholehearted engagement with one’s life as it is, by committing ourselves to it and doing our utmost to make it work
- Choosing change: the practice of actively choosing personal growth in daily life, as well as approaching difficult life events with an intentional effort to grow ourselves through them
- Surrendering control: the practice of letting go, leaning into healthy vulnerability, and cultivating relationships that can support us in time of need
